Challenge

BuddyGuard was scaling a two-sided marketplace with a new brand identity and two products that hadn't caught up to it. They needed product design every week, not every quarter. Hiring a senior product designer in Sofia takes months and a full salary. Briefing an agency project by project doesn't fit a product that ships continuously. Neither option matched the problem.

Approach

So we sent a designer instead of a proposal. One of ours joined BuddyGuard's team for six months — in their standups and their backlog, not on a statement of work. In that time both apps, mobile and web, were rebuilt on the new identity, and the sitter journey was redesigned from the inside.

Outcome

BuddyGuard got senior product design continuously, for six months, without making a hire. Two products now share one identity, and the caregiver journey was rebuilt by someone who sat in the team long enough to know where it leaked. Sitter applications passed 6,000, and churn dropped 70%+.
