## Challenge
Adoption in Bulgaria starts with a visit to a shelter, and most people can't bring themselves to go. Animals stayed in kennels not because there were no good homes, but because nobody wanted to walk through the door to find one. Rescuers had the opposite problem: no way to tell a serious adopter from a passing impulse, and no way to know how an animal was doing once it left.

## Approach
We put the shelter in a phone. Making a digital profile of each and every pet inside it. Adopters browse by breed, age and character. When they want to adopt, they have to answer a fifteen-question screening form, and chat directly with the rescuer. After adoption the thread stays open. Owners send check-in reports and photos back to the shelter. If the requirements are not met, the animal can be taken back to the shelter. Because love is not enough.

## Outcome
Furever launched as Bulgaria's first digital shelter marketplace. It passed 6,000 downloads and 1,500 monthly active users in six months. More than 70 shelters now list through it, and over 200 pets have gone home in 4 countries across Europe.
